Children's Garden

One of my friends had been talking about a Children's Garden up at Clemson Extension (across from Sandhills) so since it was another beautiful day outside today I decided to take Emmie over there and see what it was all about!  It was really neat.  They had many different gardens: a bird garden, a butterfly garden, Pooh's garden, etc.  One thing I really liked was that it was designed for kids Emmie's age.  Usually when we go to a park I have to stay right on top of her to make sure she's not stepping off the edge of a piece of playground equipment or falling off the end of a slide.  The garden had lots of different playhouses for her to explore and had a baby sized slide and a sandbox.  This was Emmie's first experience with a sandbox and she had a great time!  There was also lots of land where she could run around and it was pretty well shaded.  We stayed for about an hour and she definitely took a great nap when we got home!

She loved this!

The birdbath in the bird garden!

She loved playing in the sand!
