Boo-Boo and Bathtime

Yesterday Emmie got her first band-aid needing boo-boo.  I was getting something out of the cabinet while cooking dinner and she reached her hand in and snagged a can of tomatoes.  Before I could get it back from her she managed to drop it on her toe...which made a pretty nasty gash.  I felt soooo bad for her.  We've all dropped things on our toe and know how painful it can be and she was just pitiful!  So she got a bandaid and we worked on the concept that a Mommy kiss makes everything better.

Sadly, Emmie's Mommy is not very cool and didn't have any fun bandaids.

Every night at bathtime I have to laugh at Emmie.  She has sooo many bath toys and generally she choses to play with travel sized shampoo bottles.  She loves to line them up on the edge of the bathtub and then she'll look at them with this proud look on her face and move them to the other side of the bathtub.  She does this for about 15 minutes.  One of the bottles you have to place lid down because of the shape of the bottle and this has confused her for a long time but today when I showed her (for the millionth time) how to get it to balance she did it herself the next time and I told her "good job".  So after that whenver she'd line up the bottles she'd say "gu" (as in good job).  It was pretty cute.
