Ok, so there's not really such a thing as "rest" at Disney but we did enjoy a day of less running around!
Sadly, Ben and Ruth had to head home bright and early the morning of Day 4 but we were SO glad they were able to spend part of the trip with us. It was so special for all of us to have them there but especially the kids!
On Day 4 we slept in which was simply lovely. Then we went to the snack area near our room and grabbed muffins, croissants, and cinniman rolls for breakfast which we ate in our room. They were HUGE and quite delicious and my kids think that any meal eaten in a hotel room is super special! After breakfast the big girls did some homework while we tried to keep the little ones from tearing the room apart. After homework we all headed down to the pool. The girls had gotten to check out the pool on Saturday but this was JP's first trip. He absolutely loved it! He had the best time in the kid's area! My mom came and joined us for our pool time.
For lunch we got food at the quick service truck right outside of the pool and ate at the beach area. The kids loved it although there was a very persistent bird that they were a bit scared of but they named it "Wilbur Birdie" and decided it wasn't quite so scary. Then they spent the rest of the trip looking for a "Wilbur Birdie" every where we went!
After eating we headed back to the pool for a little bit and after some more playing we headed back to room for showers and naps.
We all very much enjoyed nap time!
We woke up from our naps and got ready for dinner at Chef Mickey's Table. Originally we were supposed to do Mickey's Backyard BBQ but it was cancelled because of damage from Hurricane Irma. Our travel agent was so fabulous and was able to get us a last minute reservation at Chef Mickey's which is one of my favorite character meals. We met my mom at Chef Mickey's and we all very much enjoyed our character experience! JP was SO excited to meet Mickey and very proud to show him that he was wearing a Mickey shirt!
