Country Adventures

This week Emmie and Ellie's school went on a field trip to Country Adventures in Blythewood. Emmie went on Tuesday and Ellie went on Wednesday (and Ruthie got to go both days!). The girls LOVE Country Adventures and were super excited. Country Adventures is a farm in Blythewood and they have lots of farm animals to pet, hayrides, and a pumpkin patch where each child was able to pick a pumpkin to bring home.


Emmie's favorite part of the trip was the hayrides. She was really happy that she got to go on TWO hayrides while we were there. She didn't get as into the animals as she has in the past...she was too busy running around playing with her friends! . I hear a lot about Emmie's friends but don't know all of them so it was nice to put faces with names. She's so social and there's always someone new she's playing with...it's hard to keep up!

Emmie, Jack, and Max. This was the first time I'd met Jack. However I've heard a lot about him...last year he chased all the girls on the playground. Right after this picture was taken he told Max "after this do you want to go chase girls?". Four year olds crack me up!

Ellie's favorite part of the trip was the animals. She visited with all the animals over and over. It's so rare that I get to see Ellie play with her friends without Emmie around. Ellie was so sweet and gave all of her friends big hugs when she saw them. Ellie was also so excited to see her teachers (as she is everyday at school)...she ran and gave them big hugs as soon as she saw them. Ellie kept telling me afterwards how much fun she had...she always gets such joy out of life and I hope she keeps her enthusiasm.

Ruthie got ahold of the pumpkin...happy girl! Mrs. Elizabeth gave Ruthie a pumpkin before we left and Ruthie was thrilled to have one of her own (and Ellie was really glad to get hers back!).
