Thanksgiving

We had a lovely Thanksgiving break! Wednesday we did our family pictures and then headed to Greenville to visit my parents. Paul and I dropped the kids off and then went and grabbed lunch and ran some errands. The kids played all afternoon and JP spent a lot of time following Grandaddy around and "helping" him. Grandaddy was raking leaves and the kids had a great time squishing them down in the trash can for him. Next door neighbor Elle joined in the fun!

At dinnertime we all went and got pizza...yumm! My parents have a really delicious pizza place near their house. After dinner we made all of Ellie's dreams come true with TCBY. It's her very favorite.

Thursday around lunch we headed to Boiling Springs, NC to celebrate with Paul's mom's side of the family. We had a delicious lunch and fun visiting with family.
Once the party broke up we went to Paul's cousin's farm and we all enjoyed visiting with their animals!

We spent the night Thursday night with Paul's Aunt Suzy and Uncle Clyde who are always amazing hosts! Friday morning they fixed us a delicious breakfast, we went to a playground, and then we headed home after lunch. I am so thankful for this sweet family I married into that loves us and our kids so well.
Storytime with Doug!

Apparently this game was squish Laura Ann!

Friday afternoon we went to see Frozen 2 with Amy and Evelyn. It was good and the kids have been listening to the music non stop since then (thanks Alexa). Evelyn came home with us after the movie to spend the night. Paul and the little ones went to bed early so I spent the evening hanging out with Evelyn, Emmie, and Ellie and we had so much fun. We played some games and watched some TV.
Love these silly girls!

Saturday, Paul went to the game with Evelyn's parents and our friend Kristy and I stayed home and watched the kiddos. I put the big girls to work hauling boxes of Christmas decorations downstairs and then we decorated the tree and house! I had the best helpers and we got all the decorations set up and boxes back in the attic before lunch.

Reality at its finest!

Sunday after church Paul took JP to a birthday party and I took Ellie to theater and then Ruthie and Emmie and I went to Edventure until it was time to pick Ellie up. We had a bit of a surprise when we got there because Santa and Mrs. Claus were there! The girls were so excited to visit him!

These two both think they are the oldest child and are often at odds so this moment was especially sweet.

We had a wonderful holiday weekend and then it was Monday and time to jump back into the craziness of our everyday life!
