Ellie's Greenville Trip

When we went to Greenville a few weeks ago the kids and I headed back on Wednesday night and Ellie stayed by herself with Gran and Grandaddy until Saturday. She had SO much fun!

 Thursday morning Ellie and Gran went to Panera and got BIG cinnamon rolls!

They went to Barnes and Noble. Ellie loved the train table...

...and of COURSE the books! She came home with all the Narnia books and we're really enjoying reading them together!

 They went to Roper Mountain and explored the nature trails and had a picnic.

 Apparently these turtles were  very entertaining. They kept climbing on the log and then splashing into the water.

Ellie and Gran went to a laser show at Roper Mountain. Apparently it was super loud and intense and lots of flashing lights and neither one of them particularly enjoyed it. BUT everything else at Roper Mountain was lots of fun!

They went to TCBY and then over to Grandaddy's office for a visit.

Ellie enjoyed playing with all toys by herself!

 Ellie and Grandaddy went to the pool.

 On Friday, Ellie went to get her haircut! She wanted it cut short...apparently April, who cuts my mom's hair, was very nervous about cutting a few inches off without Ellie's mama around! Gran convinced April that I was ok with it and Ellie's haircut is so cute and she absolutely loves it!

Ellie helped Gran make biscuits to bring back to Columbia. She told Gran that she could already taste how yummy they would be with jelly on them. (Or something like that...it was very descriptive though.)

They went to a park (Ellie LOVES to go to parks).

 Ellie helped Gran make dinner. She felt so grown up because she got to use a sharp knife.

Saturday morning Grandaddy brought Ellie back to Columbia. We were all so happy to see Ellie...we had missed her!

Granddaddy treated us to Chick-fil-A for lunch. JP was very excited that he got to get an ice cream cone. He felt very grown up. Now when we go to CFA he talks about how Grandaddy got him an ice cream cone.

After CFA, Grandaddy loaded up Emmie and they headed to Greenville so she could have a few days alone with Gran and Grandaddy!
