Easter

I'm When the kids got up Easter Sunday they got to check out their gifts from the bunny. They were all thrilled! They each had asked for 2 things and then got a few book and small treats as well.
Emmie asked for a rockstar Barbie and a Barbie car, Ellie asked for the Lalaloopsey "Peanut" and a zippysack , Ruthie got a bouncing  ball and an owl plate (she's obsessed with the plate!), and JP got 2 small baby toys.

Even Franklin got a basket with some new toys...he was soooo excited!

After checking out the gifts and went to church.

My mom made the dresses for the girls and I just LOVE them and GG and Papa bought the girls their new Easter shoes. They were so excited about their outfits!

After church we came home and packed up the car and headed to North Carolina to celebrate with the Hedrick clan! (Paul's mom's side of the family.)

My girls were so excited because all of the little girl cousins were there...when all was said and done we had a total of 8 girls between the ages of 2 and 12!

After we ate the kids had their easter egg hunt! They had lots of fun and got bunches of eggs filled with stickers.

Ellie was so proud because she had started in the little kid room and then went over to the big kid room. We told her that the big girls had already gotten all the eggs but she insisted on looking around and she found an egg that everyone had missed!

After the egg hung there was a scavenger hunt (Emmie's clue was hidden in an oven) which ended with each child getting $5.

Funniest part of the whole day was Ruthie and her "dolla". She carried that around and would not give it to me to hold on to! She kept talking about her "dolla". She would put it down to do something and I'd take it and she'd turn right around and want it back! Gin-g finally gave her a $1 bill so that she would give me the 5. Little girl knows how to work the system...she ended up with 6 dollars instead of 5 like everyone else!

Later we headed outside for the annual egg toss! Paul's cousin, Kim, and I joined in at the last minute. We were quite shocked when we WON!

The kids also had a blast "dyeing" and painting marshmallows and they REALLY enjoyed eating them!
