14 months!

I am 14 months old!

  • I wear a size 4 diaper.
  • I wear 12-18 mo clothes...mostly 18mo and I wear 18mo-2t pajamas.
  • I love to wear hats.

  • I love to eat!  Generally the only foods that make me turn up my nose are veggies...although I've gotten to wear I'll eat brocolli and I'll eat my peas mixed with yogurt.
  • I walk ALL the time!
  • I sleep about 12 hours at night and take about a 1.5-2hr nap after lunch.
  • I talk in sentences...it's just that no one else can understand them!
  • My carseat in Mommy's car was turned forward facing this month.  I'm getting more accoustomed to the change but I still like getting to ride rear facing in Daddy's car.
  • This month I went to Ivy's 2nd birthday party.
  • I went to the park with Ivy this month and had sooo much fun.  I especially liked going down the slide head first!

  • This month I threw Mommy's keys away...wasn't so bad until she found out her key had a computer chip in it so it was quite expensive to replace.
  • I still go to My Gym.  I moved up to the next class this month so I go on Wednesday afternoons.  I also go to free play on Thursday evenings where I get to hang out with my friend Will...he's 2 and I like to follow him around.
  • I'm practicing being a big sister...I have a "bossy" voice.  I like to boss Franklin around.
  • I love to wear my "fuzzies".
  • I'm soooo happy most of the time.
  • I went to my first USC basketball game this month.

  • I LOVE to read my books.  I drag them around all day and I'll bring them to Mommy to read over and over and over.  Right now some of my favorites are Goodnight Moon (we read it every night before bed and also before my nap), Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb (makes me smile everytime), Is Your Mama a Lama, and If You Take a Mouse to the Movies (which is the book that my Mousie came with).

  • I LOVE my rocking chair that Gran brought me.  I like to climb in and out of it.  I also like to sit in the chair and read.
  • Sometimes I watch Sesame Street.  Elmo is my favorite.
  • I love my mousie...I take him everywhere I go.  Mommy often has to pry him out of my fingers when we get to wherever we're going.
  • I had my first big boo-boo when I dropped a can of tomatoes on my toe and sliced it open.  Even though that was a few weeks ago I still whine whenever I see my toe.  It's ok though...Mommy told me that if she kisses my boo-boo it makes it all better and so now she has to kiss it a lot.  Can you tell I'm a bit of a drama queen?

  • I went to the zoo with Jackson and Jacob and had sooo much fun walking around and seeing all the animals!

Carolina Girl

Emmie went to her first USC athletic event on Saturday...the USC vs. UGA basketball game.  She went with Paul and Papa Coach and GG.  I was working so I missed the game but I think they all had a good time (other than the fact that USC lost).

Sunday Style Section

I love this little outfit...however, Emmie was not so happy about having her picture taken!

She was much happier this day!  This little knit dress is adorable and it's nice becuase she can wear it with a shirt underneath now and in the spring she can wear it by itself or with a short sleeved shirt.

It's quite stylish to have a little puppy!

Carolina cheerleading outfit!

I ADORE this dress that Paul's parents gave her for Valentine's Day.  The color is a little more green than it looks in the picture...kind of a teal green and it's sooo cute.

You can see the Noah's Ark smocking here.

Emmie's Gran brought her a rocking chair that's Emmie sized!  Rocking chairs are obviously quite stylish!

Boo-Boo and Bathtime

Yesterday Emmie got her first band-aid needing boo-boo.  I was getting something out of the cabinet while cooking dinner and she reached her hand in and snagged a can of tomatoes.  Before I could get it back from her she managed to drop it on her toe...which made a pretty nasty gash.  I felt soooo bad for her.  We've all dropped things on our toe and know how painful it can be and she was just pitiful!  So she got a bandaid and we worked on the concept that a Mommy kiss makes everything better.
Sadly, Emmie's Mommy is not very cool and didn't have any fun bandaids.

Every night at bathtime I have to laugh at Emmie.  She has sooo many bath toys and generally she choses to play with travel sized shampoo bottles.  She loves to line them up on the edge of the bathtub and then she'll look at them with this proud look on her face and move them to the other side of the bathtub.  She does this for about 15 minutes.  One of the bottles you have to place lid down because of the shape of the bottle and this has confused her for a long time but today when I showed her (for the millionth time) how to get it to balance she did it herself the next time and I told her "good job".  So after that whenver she'd line up the bottles she'd say "gu" (as in good job).  It was pretty cute.

Notice all the toys in the bathtub that she's ignoring!

Hello World!

A few weeks ago I started having a lot of back achiness and I realized that one of my main problems was everytime I got Emmie in and out of my car I had to lean way over and then lift her into the car seat while I was leaning over.  So, in an effort to get my back feeling better (and to protect Emmie's head...I managed to bump it on the ceiling about 90% of the time) I moved her over to the side which meant I had to turn her front facing so the car seat would fit.  She's not so sure about being front facing..she really liked being rear facing because she had a mirror.  She is getting used to it though...especially now that she realized she can see out of the window.  I will say thought that when we went to church this week in Paul's car she was very content to sit backwards again!

Sunday Style Section

So I had a picture of this dress without the jacket on but I accidentally deleted some pictures from my camera and that was one of them. :(   Anyway, the top is light pink and the bottom is navy and white polka dots...so adorable!
Also, I had 2 more outfits for Sunday Style Section this week but they were also deleted from the camera while I was trying to download them to the computer.

Emmie with more of the fleece pieces.  We hadn't been home from church for more than 3 minutes when she had all these wrapped around her neck.

What's better than furries?  A pink boa!

LOVED her church outfit this morning!  I found the bow stuck in the back of her bow drawer and it looked so cute with her ladybug dress!

Playing Dress Up

One of Emmie's favorite fashion accessories is these little fleece peices that used to be part of one of Franklin's balls.  She gets them right after breakfast and drags them around with her all day putting them off and on and the more the better!
