Sunday Style Section/10 months

Sunday Style Section
This was her Sunday outfit this week.  I love the ladybugs!
I love this little blue bubble.  The lady at the doctor's office said it looked like a piece of Wedgewood.  Haha!  Anyway, it makes her eyes super blue!
This is one of my favorite lounging around outfits.  It looks so comfy and it also makes her eyes very blue!
Funny thing...she wore a little bow almost all week but I only have 1 Sunday Style Section picture with a bow...oh well!

I am 10 months old!
  • I wear either a size 3 or size 4 diaper.
  • I wear size 9-12mo clothes and 12mo pajamas.
  • I eat a lot of finger foods.  One of my favorite foods is a "cheeseburger" (cheese and ground beef toasted on a slice of bread).
  • I had my first ear infection this month and I'm on my second round of antibiotics trying to clear it up.
  • I now have 4 teeth and am getting 2 more.
  • I crawl everywhere and I especially like to crawl around and chase my puppy!
  • I like to push my wagon around and walk behind it.
  • I pull up on everything!
  • I like to crawl into cabinets and antics such as this make my mommy and daddy laugh a lot.  Come to think of it they laugh A LOT...do you think they're laughing at me or with me?  Hmmm...perhaps I'm scarred for life...hmm...I think I'm going to need some therapy in the future.

  • I now go to My Gym once a week for class and I'm becoming braver every week (I even sat on the trampline without crying this week)!  I also like to watch all the other kids in the class.

  • My antics make my mommy and daddy laugh a lot.
  • Even at this young age I have a good imagination.  This month I created a playhouse for my animals.

  • I've never met an obstacle I can't crawl/tumble over.
  • I love to read books and will often crawl from the den to my room and sit in there and read books for a long time!

  • I'm very good natured and I can entertain myself for long periods of time.
  • I love to laugh!
  • I say "bye bye" and wave (although it's usually a minute or two after the person I'm saying it to has left!).
  • I will put a phone up to my ear and say hello.
  • I've started "sharing" my toys (I am a bit of an indian giver).
  • I like to sort toys into piles and then move that pile to another location and then move that pile to another location, etc.  Perhaps this is a coping mechanisim for preventing Franklin from taking my toys and eating them?
  • Among other words I can say "duck", "ball", "dog", and moo like a cow.  I'm also learning where noses are.
  • I went to my first football game at Summerville High School and watched my Papa Coach coach.

  • I went to the Charleston Aquarium and I really enjoyed all the fish.
  • I went with my friend Liv to Riverbanks Zoo.  I really love the zoo.
  • This month I went to the fair for the first time...and watched my parents eat yummy fair food.  Yet another thing to add to my list for therapy/how my parents scarred me for life.  Thankfully they did NOT eat fried butter or a krispy kreme hamburger since I would like them to live past next week. (Yes, those were REAL fair foods this year!)

A New Place to Play

The other day I was in the kitchen fixing Emmie's dinner and she opened up the cabinet next to me and started playing with the stuff in it.  Since it was the cabinet where all her food stuff is stored (puffs, a few jars of baby food, etc) I let her play.  I went around to the table to put some food on her tray (so I was gone less than 30 seconds) and when I came back this is what I found!
She was climbing into the cabinet!!!  I was laughing so hard and luckily my camera was nearby!  She continued to play in the cabinet.  She was actually trying to organize it.  She took some of the baby food jars from the shelf and put them in a tupperware container.

Later she put them all back on the shelf!  Such a little organizer.
This was by far my favorite picture that I took!

Sunday Style Section

Emmie's lucky USC dress!  She wore this dress with GREAT PRIDE yesterday while she watched her Gamecocks beat Alabama!

We didn't go to church today because Abby and Ben were getting ready to leave and also because Emmie still has the last little bit of her cold but she still wore her Sunday dress (I think if I wait to put it on her till she's well enough to go to church she might never get to wear it...ha!).  My mom smocked this and I think it's so adorable and I love the way brown looks on Emmie.  She also wore little pink tights and a pink bow!
This is the side view of the dress.  I love the dainty lace on the sleeves.
How cute is this little fleece dress.  It looks so comfy I think I'd like to wear it myself!  This is one of my consignment store finds.
(Are you noticing a brown and pink theme yet?).  I love the little hot pink bow in her hair.
This is the pants outfit I made for her.  Love the plaid!

Fun with Friends!

We've had a week full of spending time with friends and it's been great!

Sunday Rebekah, Ryan, and Addison came over on there way back to Conover.  It was so nice to see them.  I've really missed having Rebekah right down the street and Addison has grown soo much in the short time since they moved!

I love their matching pink hairbows!  Last time I saw Addison she didn't have enough hair for one!

Today we had a big day.  This morning we went to My Gym for our first "official" class.  Emmie is in the Tiny Tykes class.  It was really nice because the oldest child in the class was about 13mo and Emmie was right in the middle agewise so she could do pretty much everything the other kids were doing.  The trial class we went to was combined with the next age group up and so there were a lot of kids that were bigger than here.  Also, there were only about 6 kids in this class so it wasn't so overwhelming.  Emmie and a little girl named Lucy Kate became great friends almost instantly...it was pretty funny to watch them play together!

Emmie LOVED the little car!  They had created a "car wash" with mats and pom-poms and Emmie had a blast riding her car through the car wash.  She especially liked the pom-poms.

Swing!  Emmie sat in it for a minute or two and then she was DONE.  As you all know Emmie is not such a fan of swings!

This week Emmie enjoyed playing in the balls.  Last time she didn't find it very entertaining.  She still didn't want anything to do with the trampoline though!

This afernoon we met Kristi and Liv at the zoo.  Emmie LOVES to go to the zoo...she is very interested in all the animals.  She and Liv were really cute together.  I didn't get a picture of it but at one point Emmie was touching Liv's shoe.  I'm pretty sure I heard her say "mommy, I LOVE shoes"...HAHA!  A girl after my own heart!

Holding hands...what great friends!

Watching the penguins!
"Hey Liv, there's something in your hair.  Don't worry I'll pull it out for you"
"Look Mom, a bow!  Emmie found it in my hair!"

Videos

Today Emmie was eating some cheerios at dinner and she stuffed a handful in her mouth and then she waved bye-bye but it was almost like she was saying "come on cheerios! jump in my mouth!  give me more!".

Then she clearly was finished with her cheerios so I got her doing "all done".  She actually does this sign pretty often.  Sometimes she uses it for "bye-bye", she'll use it when I'm sucking her nose out, and she'll use it after she throws something on the ground (her newest trick if she's in the highchair or her stroller).  She also uses it when she's full but that doesn't happen too often!

And finally here's some video of her new crawl.  She's been army crawling for awhile but recently started doing a traditional crawl.  At first she would traditional crawl on carpet and army crawl on any floor with a slick surface but she has finally started doing a regular crawl everywhere.  Please ignore the wardrobe malfuctioning.  She had on a shirt that was a little too small (especially right after she ate dinner) and jeans that were a little big in the waist!
